OUR SERVICES
We provide counselling, support and assistance to women experiencing violence, at risk of violence or with a history of violence in partner relationships, women experiencing stalking and violence after separation from a partner, as well as women who are at risk of discrimination, poverty or social exclusion as a result of experiencing violence. All women whose children experience violence, are at risk of violence or have witnessed violence are welcome to contact us.
PEOPLE FROM THE SURROUNDING AREA CAN ALSO CONTACT US
In addition to the woman experiencing violence herself, we may also be contacted by relatives, acquaintances or other people from her environment. We can also be contacted by people from institutions - such as schools, authorities, health care institutions, etc. - who in the course of their profession are confronted with cases of violence against women and children.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO
BE ON YOUR OWN
When you contact us, you can be assured that our approach will be confidential, individual, empathetic, non-judgmental and non-judgemental. We stand on the side of women and their children. We do not question or belittle your experience of violence. All of the services we provide are individualized, but at the same time they are interrelated so that you can choose from a combination of services that meet your current needs, goals and the choices you are ready to make.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Step into safety: The motto of the ALEJ counseling center's activities is also the name of awareness campaigns within the project "Together with us - Expanding counseling and support services for women experiencing violence and their children".
The target group of the project is women and children experiencing violence - including sexual violence and abuse, women experiencing partner violence, post-separation violence, stalking and cyberstalking. Together with the project partner - Progresfem Counselling Centre - we will contribute to expanding the capacity and availability of services, as well as to expanding the services provided with new ones.
Our project also responds to the fact that gender-based violence against women and girls is changing through the use of technology and that perpetrators can cause multiple harms through technology. We are paying increased attention to this issue in counselling and in the first awareness campaign and in the education of the professional public.
The second awareness-raising campaign will focus on raising public awareness about gender-based violence against women and violence against their children.
The civil association Progresfem is the partner of the project, which provides help and counseling to women who have experienced violence and their children in the Prešov self-governing region. You can find more information and contact the civil association Progresfem at www.progresfem.sk
